About Gael

Author, speaker and guide, Gael is the founder of Yokibics® and host of The Yogi Caregiver podcast.

Gael helps those who care for others take good care of themselves. As a visionary leader with a mind – body – spirit approach, Gael frames inspiration and wisdom to look at where we are to make sure it’s in line with where we want to be.  Strategies of holistic healthcare take on a modern twist in today’s world of family caregiving as we recognize the need for self care as a hub in the wheel of the care we are called to give.

As founder of The Yokibics® Institute for Personal Development, Gael brings a lifetime of experience as a yogi into everyday practice. She began her Professional Yoga study with the New York Yoga Teacher Alliance in 1978. In the 1990s, Gael began to actively incorporate the outdoor experience as sacred journey into the growth of her Spiritual Warrior Coaching Programs, and, in 1997, she was honored on Long Island as Woman of the Year Against Domestic Violence.

Her passion for conscious living led to certifications in Yoga Therapy, Crisis Counseling, Bodywork, Caregiving Consulting, and Fitness leading toward Organizational and Leadership Development in order to express her work on a larger scale.

Gael speaks to the importance of self care as the ultimate foundation in caring for others as we recognize our inextricable connection with the world around us. Today her books and Pilgrims Path Meditation teachings recognize the individual journey of the family caregiver as a place to start as we take on the larger questions of healing the world. She is known as The Yogi Caregiver, hosting a podcast by that name.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Theology from St. Johns University and a Masters Certificate in Leadership and Organizational Development from Penn State University.
